Camille Bordet

Crossover lyrical artist

Early Music   Classical Music   Cross-cultural Music Exploration

From the opera stage to Persian musical traditions

A lyrical singer with a unique path, Camille Bordet bridges the gap between European classical repertoires and the music of the East. A laureate of the Fondation Royaumont and the Gordes Melody Competition, her opera credits include Nero, Vitellia, Orfeo, Dorabella, Dido, and Demeter. Her collaboration with Jordi Savall reflects her deep commitment to early music and a deliberate eclecticism. A polyglot fluent in English, Italian, Persian, and Arabic, she also plays the tombak and specializes in interpreting Persian poetry. Her production 'The Book of Queens,' created for the Opéra de Dijon, establishes a poetic dialogue between female-led works from Europe and Persia. She will embark on an international tour with this project, performing across Canada and India in the autumn of 2026.
